McBain NMC Holds Off Ogemaw Heights in Boys Soccer

MCBAIN – The McBain NMC Comets and Ogemaw Heights both entered Monday night’s contest undefeated on the season. The Comets came away with a 2-1 win to improve to 7-0-3 on the season.

Logan Hart and Barrett Bosscher scored the two goals for the Comets while Angel Potter scored the lone goal for the Eagles.

Blake DeZeeuw added 10 saves in net for the Comets.

“Both sides had just good fight. I think the only reason that we came out and won is because we had really good passing this game and we played physical,” Bosscher said after the game.

“I honestly think goalie and defense was the difference,” added head coach Taylor Mulder. “Blake made some incredible saves tonight to keep us ahead. He let one in, can’t fault him for that but that was the edge I think, it was our goalie.”

McBain NMC’s next game will be at Tawas on Wednesday. Ogemaw Heights falls to 6-1-1 on the season and will host Pine River on Wednesday for its next game.
