TRAVERSE CITY — The Sheriff’s Office has identified the boater as Kyle Elliot, a 24-year-old man from Traverse City.

TRAVERSE CITY — The body of a missing boater was found Monday morning in Grand Traverse County.
The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office said the 24-year-old Traverse City man was out fishing Sunday afternoon on Spider Lake. A family member found his empty boat circling in the water that evening.
The Sheriff’s Office dive team recovered the body around 10 a.m. the next morning.
The cause of death is still under investigation.
