This year’s Fall Colors have been incredible!
Last week was the Peak for much of the Lower Peninsula.
Of all my years here in Northern Michigan, I will say this was in the top 3!

So what’s to come? Past Peak and it’s happening fast!
There’s no doubt Peak has passed for most areas and leaves are dropping fast.
Exceptions are along the lakeshores and areas farther downstate. This picture is a great example by Linda Maginity where Peak is expected this weekend.
While the color is fading along the roads, don’t be afraid to go for a walk in the woods.
There is still color in much of the forests.
Get out there this weekend to catch the peak under the forest canopy!
Just be careful, watch out for wet leaves on wet roads making for slick conditions.
