A Northern Michigan man is heading to prison in the death investigation of a family friend.
The Lake County Prosecutor Craig Cooper said Danny McCarthy has been sentenced to 13 to 30 years in prison in the shooting investigation of Dylan Daniel.
McCarthy is accused of shooting Daniel, but pleaded no contest which means he accepts the punishment but does not admit to killing Daniel. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
