The Traverse City Bridge Rehabilitation Project is set to be completed this summer.
Construction begins on the North Cass Street and South Union Street Bridges on Jan. 30.
Both bridges will replace the existing deck and railings, along with an MDOT crash-tested bridge railing. The city engineer says the Bridge Rehabilitation Project is critical to maintaining the infrastructure throughout the city.
The combined bridge projects are set to cost $4 million.
The anticipated completion for the project is June 30.
