Amazing Northern Michigan Homes: Williamsburg Home on the Bay

“It’s beautiful at all times of year,” said Kim Costanza, real estate agent for Coldwell Banker. “You can see the sunrises and the sunsets.”

This beautiful was designed in a way that lets you take full advantage of the spectacular views of East Grand Traverse Bay.

“The person that helped design this home also worked on the World Trade Center as far as the design there,” said Costanza. “They were going to rebuild what was here and just do a one story ranch for themselves and their family, realized there was some extra space up there and decided to take advantage of it.”

The large windows that make up most of the west wall and the high ceilings give a generous feel to the space.

That isn’t exclusive to the great room, the bedrooms and master suite are sizable and include that great perspective of the water.

“You don’t even have to get up to see the Bay,” she says. “His and hers closets, plenty of space in there if you want to put in a nice seating area for reading and then of course a master bath with a standup shower, a nice garden tub.”

The gourmet kitchen is a highlight of the home but not just because of the beautiful island, granite countertops or stainless steel appliances.

“It’s really nice to be able to be in the kitchen and do what you need or want to do and still be a part of the family and still benefit from the environment, as far as the fantastic views or the lake breeze on a summer day,” she says.

You can also enjoy that lake breeze next to the built in fire pit on the large patio or make your way down to the water.

“We have a dock out there and a beautiful area that you can use to swim off from or float away on your kayak or paddle board, or jet off in your boat and when the lake isn’t as high as it is right now there’s a fantastic, white, sandy beach down there and it’s a hard sandy bottom,” said Costanza. “It’s a very nice space for family and friends to enjoy the benefits of the waterfront.”
