Michigan’s Spring Turkey Hunting Season Ending Soon

Spring turkey hunters have just a few more weeks to bag their game.

People can hunt for the large bird anywhere in the Northern and Lower Michigan with only a license required.

Each license allows one turkey per hunter, but the spring turkey hunting season ends soon.

The encouraged turkey hunters to come in and purchase more licenses.

“The big thing about spring turkey season is that it’s our first big hunting season of the year. You know, folks are ready to get out in the woods, everything is greening up, and we are still seeing birds active,” says Katie Keen, DNR wildlife technician.

Turkey hunting season ends May 31.
